Melanie Fulton‑Ruiz

Melanie Fulton-Ruiz, APRN, AGPCNP-BC (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse; Adult and Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner- Board Certified) is an experienced Aesthetic nurse with a primary focus in non-surgical medical aesthetics. Melanie started her career over 20 years ago, prior to the popularity of aesthetics, and was one of the first US nurses in 1998 to administer the cosmetic use of chemical peels, neuromodulators, fillers, Bio-stimulants, and laser application while working in a busy medical, Surgical, and cosmetic Dermatology office. Melanie’s work in Dermatology included everything from clinical studies, assisting physician(s) with full body skin exams, biopsies, surgeries, and wound closures to acne skin peels, and laser therapies for an array of cosmetic and medical conditions.

She served as a nurse educator for several laser companies including Laserscope, Iridex and Fraxel and provided physicians and nurses both nationally and internationally with training on devices as well as techniques for the treatment of Vascular anomalies, Melasma and other dyschromia’s of the skin.

After working over 10 years in Dermatology Melanie wanted to focus her energy on the aesthetic side of nursing and in 2011 founded La Vraie Beaute Aesthetics where she currently works and where she began working under the direction of Dr. James M. Landeen, American board-Certified Plastic surgeon who specialized in the full spectrum of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries of the face, eyes, nose, breasts, and body (Retired 2016) and Medical Director Cardiologist Dr. John N. Sanderson who specialized in varicosities of the skin and laser therapy for varicose veins.

Currently, Melanie serves as a nurse educator for Galderma Pharmaceuticals providing hands on clinical injection skills to physicians, nurses, and aesthetic practitioners. She is certified by BTL, Lumenis, Cutera, Venus concepts, Rohrer Aesthetics, Prollenium, Galderma, Allergan, and Merz Pharmaceuticals. Her passion in the Art of Aesthetic Medicine led her to develop the original patented DermaSculptor the first tools used to sculpt the face after filler application and continues to work with laser companies in development of future aesthetic devices.
